Escalation path

The firm decides who receives a transferred call

Every deployment has a written primary, backup, and unavailable path. The agent follows that path when a caller asks for a person or the call leaves its administrative scope.

What triggers a human handoff

The caller asks for a person

The agent stops the administrative flow and starts the firm-approved transfer path within the next turn.

The caller asks for legal judgment

Questions about legal advice, case evaluation, deadlines, outcomes, or whether the firm will take the matter go to a person.

The caller is not a new prospective client

Existing clients, courts, opposing counsel, represented parties, and other known callers follow the firm's routing instructions.

The caller declines recording

The recorded call flow stops. The service uses the firm's non-recorded transfer, voicemail, or callback path.

A tool or connection fails

Calendar failures, transfer failures, and unclear routing results go to the backup path. The service does not create a confirmed appointment or answer in those cases.

Who receives the call

The names and numbers are specific to the firm. Appalytical records them in the deployment configuration and tests each route before the line goes live.

  1. 1

    Primary on-call contact

The firm names the lawyer, staff member, or answering contact who should receive the first transfer attempt for each schedule.

  2. 2

    Backup contact

If the primary contact does not answer, the service tries the backup number selected by the firm when that route is enabled.

  3. 3

    Firm-approved message path

If no contact is available, the caller reaches the voicemail or callback process approved by the firm. The caller is not told that a lawyer has accepted the matter.

What the caller hears

The agent says it is transferring or taking a callback message. It does not promise that the contact will answer.

A provisional booking remains subject to the firm's conflict check and acceptance. A transfer, voicemail, callback request, or calendar hold does not create representation and does not pause a deadline.
